Elves Eat Food 0913

Elves Eat Food 0913 screenshot

Release: September 2013
Genre: Text, Simulation
Tools: C++ / Visual Studio
Elves Eat Food was an experiment inspired by Mini Ludum Dare 45 (Low-Level languages). My goal was to make a game in C++ absolutely no external libraries. It turns out that doesn’t really leave you with many options. What I ended up with is a turn-based simulation where creatures try to survive in a random map. The gameplay never came together, but it still has some creatures spawning and using a custom A* algorithm for pathfinding. Try it out, it’s hypnotizing.
