PenVT Help -- Phantom

Introduction -> Output Files -> Phantom -> System Geometry -> Spectrum -> Simulation Parameters -> Other Information

Vox File: This is the location of the voxelized phantom that you wish to perform the tomosynthesis simulation on. It must be in the penEasy *.vox file format. Unlike the Output Directory on the previous page, you cannot type this location in. You MUST click the "Browse..." button to find the phantom. penVT will then automatically open the file and determine the size of the phantom.

Phantom File Sequence (multiple phantom simulation): If you wish to perform the same simulation on a number of different phantoms, click the checkbox labeled "This file is the beginning of a sequence" and input the number of phantoms there are in the "Number of Phantoms" spinbox. It is important that you choose the first file of the sequence for the "Vox File" field, and that it is numbered 1. The other phantoms must be numbered sequentially and named in the same manner. Phantoms in a sequence should be named as follows:

[Phantom Prefix].[Phantom #].vox

For example, if you have two phantoms named "dense", they should be named dense.1.vox and dense.2.vox. Note that you cannot change the "Number of Phantoms" field unless you have checked the box.
